That’s right, it’s almost time for ICE!  Be sure to stop by booth #21 to see me (that’ll off the right hand aisle by the kitchen, near the yummy goodies from Just Add Honey and Dulce Vegan Bakery).  I’ll have plenty of 2010 day planners, photo albums, address books, blank books, diaries, travel journals and other goodies to fill every stocking on your list!  I’ll also be taking custom orders at the show if you’re looking to create the perfect one-of-a-kind gift for the holidays.  So be sure to join me and over 100 other super talented artists for the best holiday market in Atlanta!

KraftworkMother’s day is Sunday and you need something special to show Mom how much you love her. How you appreciate her years of love and hard work, instilling you with values and ideals while wisely stepping back far enough to let you become your own unique person. If only there were a shop filled with local, handmade, thoughtful and lovely gifts worthy of your Ma. Well, you’re in luck! Come on out this Thursday night to Kraftwork, the best monthly indie craft market in Atlanta, held at the Young Blood Gallery in Midtown. Entry for shoppers is free, and in addition to the lovely wares of your local captains of crafty industry and industrious crafters there is often food and drink to be had for a mere “donation.” It’s like every art opening you sneaked into in college for cheap wine, only now you’ll both like and be able to afford the art! There’s some serious talent lined up for this week, just check out the roster- a veritable who’s who of local indie crafters. So come on out and pick out special for your Mom, you know she’s worth it and so much more.

Thursday Night Shopping, Kraftwork

Posted by SaraQ on March 3rd, 2009

kraftworkbanner.jpgTimes are strange. I lost my 3+ year job last week due to staff layoffs just after returning from a wonderful (and work related) trip to London. I’m anxious, hopeful, confused and perhaps still a bit jet lagged. Why not take advantage of my weakened state/ come cheer me up/ help me put a bit of dosh in my pockets by coming out this Thursday night to Kraftwork? What is Kraftwork you say? Why, it’s only the best monthly indie craft market in Atlanta, held at the Young Blood Gallery in Midtown. There’s some serious talent lined up for this week, just check out the roster- a veritable who’s who of local indie crafters, with special guest Chicago artist Dolan Geiman. Come on, you know you want to! Oh, and that job lay off and trip to London? Stay tuned. . .

There’s even a Family Day on December 14th, you can bring out the kids and make art together! The Spruill Gallery is also conveniently close to Perimeter Mall if you’re already in that area to do some shopping- thought of course nothing beats buying handmade and supporting you local artists!

New Books on Etsy

Thanks to everyone who braved the sweltering heat on Saturday to come out to ICE and support handmade art! It was not an easy day to be out and about, dedication from shoppers and art lovers like yourselves make it all worth while.

I’m in the process of listing books on Etsy that I have left over from the show, there’s a lot of them so check back often (I have a slow connection, I’ll probably be listing books in batches over the next week or so). I’m also in the process of getting books into some local boutiques, so keep your eyes here for more information on that.

If you’d like to contact me about custom orders or just to chat, you can find my e-mail address under the “custom-order books” link at the top left of the page. If you’re interested in my photography, please check out the flickr badge in the right sidebar- it will take you to photography by me and my husband Will Hindmarch.

Thanks again everyone, stay cool!
